Halloween Special and Presidential Campaign

First off, my book Unlucky 7:Seven Bone Chilling Tales Of Terror is now on sale for only .99¢ on Amazon kindle!! Usually priced at $2.99 USD  you can get your copy today and save $2!!! Take advantage of this Halloween Special now. It'll only last for two more days!!!

Second, as a writer, photography, and musician I like to consider myself an entertainer. Adding to all of that I've just begun a satire on the U.S. Presidential Race and am running my own mock campaign as well for the GreenLibertaRepubliCrat Party!! Below you'll find a couple of the campaign posters and the official logo of the GreenLibertaRepubliCrat Party. So far it's starting with a Facebook page(Joseph Paul Wright 4 Prez) but a website and weekly YouTube broadcast are also on the way. It's completely non partisan and I intend to make fun of all political parties. I'll keep you updated on what I have going on. Give me your feedback and help me build up an audience along the way. Thanks!! Until next time!!

UNLUCKY 7

Hey everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in such a long time, but I have good reason. I've been focused on the recent release of my newest book Unlucky 7: Seven Bone Chilling Tales Of Terror!!
Unlucky 7 is a collection of my most popular short stories, many of which were posted on here at one time or another, including one never before released. This collection was released just in time for Halloween and is perfect for getting into the Spirit of the season!! These seven terrifying tales will send chills up the spines of even the most seasoned horror fans. DO NOT read before bed(unless you're in to that).
This book, like Conflict, is available wherever books are sold and can be requested at any public library. Below is a link to find it on Amazon where the ebook is available for only $2.99!!!! I also included some pictures of the cover and interior with a little All Hallows Eve splash thrown in!!!

So... what's been going on?

Good morning readers. It's currently 3:08 AM and I'm awake because our 3 year old was having trouble sleeping. Now that we're both lying down and relaxing I figured I'd post a long overdue update on me, my novel, and the other projects I've got going.
First off I want to apologize for not having posted anything in a very long time. I have been insanely preoccupied with a number of other issues. I'm not going to lie; things have gotten tough and they may get worse before they get better. A poem that always helps me to get through tough times is Invictus by William Ernest Henley. I highly recommend that you look it up.
As far as my writing is concerned, my role with Border Eco Magazíne has diminished greatly and I won't be able to write as many articles as before. There is a silver lining though. This allows me to focus my creative energy on my fiction, which I have been doing a lot of.
Along that same topic, I have put the sequel to Conflict on hold. I've been doing a lot of short story writing and I'm currently working on getting a number of them published. That's the reason I haven't posted any new ones to the blog.
I do need something from all of you though. I need reviews! If you have read Conflict To Secure A Nation or any of my short stories, please post a review either on here in the comments, or on my Facebook page. You can also go to my website @ www.jpwright.tateauthor.com .
Well I should probably get at least some sleep so I'm off. Remember, "It matters not how strait the gate; how charged with punishments the scroll. I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul." -from Invictus by William Ernest Henley.

Update On Conflict: To Secure A Nation

Hey readers,
I haven't posted anything in some time. It's not that I haven't wanted to, I've just been very busy. I haven't received a sales report on the book yet but I believe it started pretty strong. It maintained a fairly decent sales rank on Amazon for a while but in the last few days dropped dramatically.
What that tells me is that the people who have bought the book so far, haven't been sharing it with their friends and family. A few weeks ago I was talking to my marketing representative, and he told me that what a writer needs to be successful are evangelists. I'm not talking about people standing in the street holding the book up and shouting 'Praise The Lord!' I'm talking about telling everyone you know about how much you enjoyed the book and recommend it. If you know someone in a book club, suggest that they try the book out.
Another thing that is very important in this day and age when the internet runs our lives, is writing a book review and posting it online. Review the book on Facebook. If you have a blog, review the book there. If you bought it off of Amazon or Barnes & Noble then put a review up on there. People rely on those reviews and the only way people are going to want to buy it is if someone else says that it's worth the time and money.
I would love for this book to be a success, and the next one and the next one after that. I've expressed before that my dream is to make a career out of writing. The only way that is possible is with YOUR help. I need your help.
I will have a book signing on June 7, 2014 at Hasting's Books in Sierra Vista, Arizona starting at 1 PM. If your local or you'll be in town for any reason around those dates, I would love it if you came by.
Many of my readers are people that I know personally, and many of you aren't. For those of you that aren't, I would like to get to know you and even if meeting in person isn't possible, leave some comments and let me know a little about yourself as well as what you think of my writing. If you have a blog, post a link in your comment and I'll be sure to check it out and follow it.
Thank you all for reading my work and supporting me in this dream. I look forward to continuing our relationship through this blog and I hope that you all will get a copy of my novel and let me know what you think.
You can also check me out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/jpwauthor. Like the page!
My novel, Conflict: To Secure A Nation is available through Amazon at: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1629946001
and through Barnes & Noble at: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/conflict-joseph-paul-wright
You can also purchase it via other online bookstores by going to Google and using either Joseph Paul Wright or Conflict: To Secure A Nation as your search keyword.
If you do get a copy of the book and read, let me know what you thought and post a review somewhere for people to see. Once again, thank you and I will continue to post stories on her so don't get discouraged just because I haven't posted in a while. See you all next time ;0)

The Artist In Everyone

"The Artist" in everyone can manifest itself in various forms. A painter, a musician, a sketch artist, a photographer, a designer, an architect, a writer or any number of different things. One thing is certain: there is an artist in everyone and whether it defines your career or not it will most certainly enrich your life and maybe even others as well. Search for and discover the artist within YOU.
